The Clear Water band was created in 1983, based in cultural centre Fakel. The founder is Boris Bunim. It was his idea to name the band 'Clear Water', from Aksu (Turkic - pure, clear water). Aksay is the town where we lived that time.

In 1983 we were 15 - 16 years old. Perhaps, all of us had decire to sing and play. First the things we liked, later - of our own. Songs were composed by Alexandr Dubatov (bass) and Evgeniy Pitiev (guitar). Repertiore mostly consisted of rock'n'roll. All the time we took part in Rostov festivals, had concerts for our fans, as all the equipment was bought by the company, we had to justify our existence. First we were invited to take part in the concert in Voroshilovgrad but had problems with tickets so were not able to be there (I mean in the very beginning, 1983 - 1989), after that we took part in many concerts in different cities.

Oleg Suhov - bass-guitar, vocals;
